Meet the team

We are a small, talented team of senior executive public sector and commercial enterprise professionals. We’re based in the South East although work nationally.

Sharon Collins (Director)

“Entrepreneurial, locally-minded, with strong interpersonal skills and plenty of commercial savvy!”

£462m efficiency savings have been achieved by 390 councils engaged in 416 shared service arrangements. Talk to us about our collaborative expertise.

Some key points…

Whilst one of the central drivers to share services has always been to reduce costs and make work processes more efficient, the benefits and driving forces have moved away from a pure cost focus to increasingly achieving greater added value.

Regulation – in what ever form it takes – focuses on maximising the return on investment across all assets.

A collaborative approach is attractive within our current operating environment as it offers relatively rapid, low cost and flexible start-up.

The social housing sector seems so focused on our ‘guilty pleasure’ of remaining autonomous businesses that we have lost sight of the need to fundamentally rethink operating models and traditional service and sector boundaries if we are to free up capacity, drive efficiencies and protect vulnerable frontline services.

Derek Bradbury…

Future advantage will go to organisations which can stimulate and support business-to-business collaboration as a lever to both secure and maximise return across all assets of the business.

We need to rethink how we can work in collaboration, at a regional level, to deliver more with less resource.

Sharing ‘directly necessary’ services, means we can share risk, share investment, share efficiencies, share surpluses and ultimately boost capacity.

How can Boards justify, in the short to medium term, strategic options which don’t at least explore whether collaborative advantage would provide a step change in capacity and capability?

Our team of associates is led by owner and Director, Sharon Collins.
